System Boot screens
my retro-roomTake a look through the past with this oddly entertaining look at the loading screens for past gaming consoles and home-micro computers.
Note that some where loaded directly from their embedded BIOS chip while some others from the game-cartridge or disk (Sega Megadrive, Atari Jaguar, Amiga 1000 etc).
Due to the 256-color limitation of the GIF format, some color detail is missing (mainly on more recent systems that used High to True-color animations)
I apologize for any slow loading or navigation of this page you may experience as animated GIF is a true CPU-overheader and quite heavy for the Retroshowcase servers!
