Captain Quazar is a 3/4 perspective action run-n-gun game, developed by 3DO Company for the 3DO games console in 1996 and ported a year later for Windows.

Review
Captain Quazar You are Captain Quazar, a law enforcement redneck and your country's government assigns you to stop the plans of a terrorist team. The team threatens to launch heavy missiles and destroy the world so you must run through the various levels of the game and vanish everything in your path, stopping their plans once and for all. You possess a large variety of weapons with which you can shoot all enemy forces, demolish any building that stands in your way and finally disarm the missiles. In terms of gameplay Captain Quazar is a quite simple game. All you have to do is run and gun everything that moves. That simple. But you must remember that in order to survive you need to find ammunition and energy pills. These power-ups can be found by smashing crates etc. In total, the game is great fun.

This game looks like a 16bits action shooter game at its best. The graphics feature nice sprites and vivid colors. Your hero moves fast, as well as all the enemies around. No slowdowns here. The colorful graphics are bundled with very nice sound FX plus a strong soundtrack.
