An early action adventure game for the MSX2 known as Legend of the Mystical Ninja in North America and the PAL region.

Review
Ganbare GoemonGaemon, the main character, is loosely based on Ishikawa Goemon, the noble thief of Japanese folklore. The game is set in a mystical Feudal Japan, where every bit of folklore and legend about Japan is true. Although the game has its roots in action adventure, the Ganbare Goemon series has features from genres including RPG, puzzle games, and board games. Ganbare Goemon has proven to be widely popular in Japan. The only problem I found is at the gameplay. It is sometimes frustrating when trying to jump over obstacles (such as piles). But overall a fun game to play!

The MSX2 conversion is quite good featuring colorful graphics with bright colors and pretty smooth sprite animation much like the original. A very decent, fun little adventure game being very colorful and well done. It is also well worth a try just to hear the very nice Japanese-style tune that was created specifically for the game.
