Fatal Fury: First Contact, is a title released only on Neo Geo Pocket systems, being loosely based on Real Bout Fatal Fury 2: The Newcomers title. It is the seventh game in the Fatal Fury series.

Review
Fatal Fury F-ContactThe gameplay follows the typical formula of most fighting games, in which you choose your character and fight against other in a two-on-two combat. The title offers a new character named Lao, who is playable in the game's Versus Mode only. The gameplay controls consists of an eight directional joystick and three attack buttons: punch, kick and throw. As in all Fatal Fury game series, each character has several special techniques that are performed using different combinations of joystick direction and buttons.
FOr the history, the original Fatal Fury game was designed by Takashi Nishiyama, the creator of the original Street Fighter (1987).

Graphics are quite impressive here, having beautifully detailed backdrops (up to 40 colors on screen) while sprites are big and well animated.
Sound is pretty good too, offering several in-game tunes and SFX. One of the most technically advanced releases for the Neo Geo Pocket hardware!
