Review
Chuck Rock IISTORY / GAMEPLAY
After Chuck Rock rescued Ophelia (his wife) in the first game from the T-Rex bully Gary Gritter, Chuck and Ophelia lived a peaceful life and had their first child named Chuck Junior. Chuck senior works in a factory where he develops great skills at carving automobiles out of stone. A rival manufacturer, an evil enemy called Brick Jagger, envies Chuck's abilities and kidnaps him. Now it is up to Chuck Junior to rescue his father! Chuck Rock II is a side-scrolling platform game with occasional rock-moving puzzles! The gameplay is pretty slow-paced, offering fun and simple aspects but there are also a few problems mainly concerning its level of difficulty in some stages (like when trying to avoid popping spikes). The collision detection is an issue here too, but anyway this game is fun!

GRAPHICS / SOUND
The graphics are truly brilliant on the 8bit Sega Master System, especially the backdrop scenes which are colorful and much detailed. The bosses have cool animations and the regular enemies are nicely drawn. The sound is quite cartoon-ish featuring several nice sound effects, and a tune that does a great job in adding atmosphere and making the game really fun!
