Mirax ForceStory/Gameplay:
Delta Base to Star Quest - Priority Dispatch - Code Red! Your mission is to fly Star Quest over the Alien mother-ship, destroying as much of it as possible with the ultimate goal being the Main Ship's Reactor. Your flight will be hazardous whilst avoiding tall pylons, buildings and shadowed objects. You will come under intense attack from waves of well equipped Defender Ships protecting the mother-ship! Well this is a wonderful shoot em up, although quite difficult. You may crash easily either on a enemy ship or an obstacle of the mother-ship. This makes it even more difficult when you speedup your ship!
Graphics/Sound:
When I first played this game, I was absolutely amazed by the graphics (especially with the explosions) and the music. Technically, this game is one of the best I've seen on an 8bit home micro! Honestly the background details, the fluid sprite animations and the colors being used, makes this arcade shooter unique for an 8bit release. The sound is also good, having digitized voices on the 8bit Atari's (!) at the end of each level and also beautiful sfx like explosions, gun/laser shooting etc. I forgive the loose controls and high difficulty because of its great graphics and sound!.

Atari XL/XECPU: MOS Technology 6502C (1.79MHz for NTSC / 1.77MHz for PAL)
MEMORY: 16Kb, 64Kb to 128Kb RAM (600XL, 65XE/1200XL/800XL, 130XE respectively), 16-32Kb ROM
GRAPHICS: Upto 16 colors on screen at 160x192 or 2 colors at 384x240 (overscan) from an 128 to 256 color palette (the last available only on GTIA chip found in later than the old 400/800 models).
SOUND: (POKEY custom chip) sound generator of 4 voices, 3.5 octaves, capable for polyphonic music and sound effects.
