Ishar 3: The Seven Gates Of Infinity is the best of the Ishar series and among one of the best RPG games ever created on PC, Amiga, Atari and Macintosh platforms.

Review
Ishar III All three games boast exceptional 3D graphics for their times, huge game-world, alternate solutions to puzzles, and best of all, different personalities and goals of your party members that make gameplay tenfold more colorful and fun. Ishar III is the best of the series, in which the player starts with Zubaran or imports characters from another game of the series, and has to hunt the dragon of Sith last survivor of the Great Black Dragons. In order to do that, he needs to cross a series of gates, each one sending him to a different time period. Each period, like the islands of Ishar 2, has its own climate and type of landscape. It is large and tough enough to give you at least 20 hours of gameplay if you use a walk-through and maps. Without them, expect a good week or more of hardcore gaming before finishing it.The Ishar trilogy, published a game a year from 1992 to 1994, is one of the few RPG series native to the Amiga, and possibly the the only RPG series from France. Also, all three games were available for the Atari ST, and they were among the few who supported the Atari Falcon.

All Ishar games featured exceptional graphics, with detailed backgrounds and digitized characters! The Atari Falcon version (and PC) had the best graphics among all platforms (a bit better than the Amiga AGA version!). More than 256 colors were used and the animation (especially at the intro) was pretty smooth. As far as the sound, the games on ST featured nice digitized intro tune, but no digitized sound effects while playing as in all other versions. The sound was also exceptional, featuring digitized sounds and awesome multi-channel stereo tunes.
