Dark Seed is an adventure game designed by the famous horror designer H.R.Giger. The game is based on horror and mystery issues and was developed by Cyberdreams for the Amiga (OCS), Amiga CD32, Macintosh and PC in 1992. The game was later published by Gaga for the Sony PlayStation and the Sega Saturn video-game consoles. The Amiga OCS version comes in 7 discs and developed by Incentive Software.

Dark SeedStory/Gameplay:
Mike Dawson is a manager in a big company but his dream was always to become a famous writer. So he recently bought an old and quiet mansion somewhere in Woodland Hills. But here is where the problems begin. He didnt know about the existence of a parallel universe in there, after finding clues of the previous owner's death! One day, after he wakes up from a terrible nightmare, he finds out that someone (or something) has implanted in his brain a dark seed (an alien embryo into his brain). Everything is different now. Everything is scary. He suffers from headaches which show that the nightmare is no longer in his sleep but in reality. His main purpose now is to find out what is going on, having only three horrifying days to do it gameplay occur in different places, not only in the mansion, including traveling to a universe through the living room mirror (!) etc.
Unlike most point-and-click adventure games, which give the player time to explore, many actions in Dark Seed must occur within precise time limits.
Has a great scenario, has nice visuals and sound, its great!

Graphics/Sound:
The Amiga version, features fantastic graphics, made with the use of only 16 on screen! I was expecting way more colors, but still it looks perfect adding a lot to the spooky atmosphere! The perspective seems as if you are watching a theatrical play (with those curtains shown on the two sides of the screen) and characters move in a pseudo-3D environment. All characters are digitized, and all scenes offer remarkable visuals for the time. Note that the Amiga version runs slower when compared to the PC version running in VGA graphics mode.
Sound offers various sampled sound FX, including creepy tunes, plus digitized dialogues when you interact with another person! Its visuals and sound quality were great back to the days, but the process in disk-swapping a 7-disks game is rather frustrating I think!
